VIGILANTE TRIAL PREPARATION
The Trial Session is paid for the day of the trial appointment, individually to each Artist. Acceptable payments are exact cash or card through our Square card reader, with a $3 card processing fee. We do not accept checks at this time.
SKIN PREP
Please come with clean skin, free of makeup or products, with the exception of a light moisturizer. Avoid using heavy serums or any SPF greater than 15 to prevent flashback in any flash photography. If possible, and especially if you are actively using retinoids, we recommend doing a light physical exfoliation on the face and lips, leading up to your trial appointment. If you are having any waxing services performed before your trial, we do recommend that you have those services performed at least 3 days prior to avoid skin sensitivities.
HAIR PREP
Please come with your hair clean and dry, free of any hard styling products. If you have hair that is more fine or thin and you want volume for your hairstyle, please blow-dry in a light mousse prior to your appointment. Avoid having the hair in a ponytail or a bun to prevent creasing before styling.
COILS - CURLS - WAVES:
If you have naturally coily, curly, or wavy hair and want to utilize your natural hair texture: we recommend that you use your favorite light weight curl cream and let it dry naturally or diffused it prior to the appointment.
If you have coily, curly, or wavy hair and do not want to use your natural hair texture: please use a brush and hair dryer to put tension on your hair and smooth out the unwanted texture as much as possible prior to the appointment.
WHAT TO WEAR
While we LOVE bright and fun colors, we recommend that you attend your trial wearing a top that is similar to your wedding day gown/suit color. This way, you will be able to get an accurate idea of what your hair and makeup will look like against your actual wardrobe color. Bright colors may also reflect onto the face and alter the appearance of the makeup application.
We also suggest wearing a button down top if you plan to change clothes later to avoid any friction on the face or hair while removing your top. Please avoid wearing tops with high necklines, such as: hoodies, turtlenecks, etc. to avoid excessive rubbing against the hair - this will start to dishevel the hairstyle.
WHAT TO BRING
If you have any reference images of makeup and hair that you would like to bring for inspiration, please do! If you have a veil, hair accessories, hair extensions, or wedding jewelry you may also bring that along to complete your look. If the weather calls for rain on your appointment day, please bring an umbrella to shield your makeup and hair when exiting our studio that day.
We also ask that you limit the number of guests to 2 in our Acworth studio and 1 guest in our Ringgold studio - our space is quaint, so we want to keep it as comfortable as possible.
